You got some of your labels mixed up here, so I'm gonna help straighten them out.
This is a King Cobra, Ophiophagus hannah, not a python of any sort.

King Cobras look nothing like this, and you might wanna go to the San Diego Zoo and check yourself first before going around using Latin names for animals to see correct

OK, let's take this pic over to the website for the Southeastern Hot Herp Society, [link] . There are many people there, whom I know personally, who keep and breed Ophiophagus Hannah. Let's ask THEM what this is, shall we? I can absolutely 100% guarantee it is NOT a Python of any species. I've seen King Cobras up close and personal, and yes, they DO look like this, and look quite different from most people's preconceived notion of what a Cobra ought to look like.

OR before the folks on that site make a fool of you, you can go here: [link] and compare the head of the snake in that site's picture to the one you took, which you still insist is an "Amethystine Python"(???), even though you can compare it to the REAL Amethystine Python in your own gallery and see that they look absolutely NOTHING alike. Make sure that you pay careful attention to the scale pattern of the snake in your alleged "Amethystine Python" photo, and to that of the King on the King Cobra site's photos, especially those three small scales immediately behind the eye in both...a characteristic of O. hannah. The snake you photographed is getting read to shed, which is why its eye looks cloudy, but even still the round, most un-python-like pupil can be seen.
Either you got your labels mixed up, or the zoo screwed up. It happens. I've seen a Green Tree Python at the Memphis Zoo labeled as a "Green ANACONDA".
I've been around, up close and personal, with both King and other Cobras, as well as many Morelia species. I've KEPT many of these myself, so I do know snakes.
